Northwest Sinfonietta brings festivity and brilliance to the stage this October. The concert opens with a lively mini Oktoberfest—complimentary beers and pretzels paired with Viennese gems by Schubert and Strauss. After intermission, Ascending Bird tells the story of a mythic bird’s quest to reach the sun, and world-renowned clarinetist Kinan Azmeh performs his own Suite for Improvisor and Orchestra.
