sky and sea: Open rehearsal

We’re glad you are joining us for our Sky and Sea open rehearsal!

Thursday, Jan. 18, 10am-12:30pm
Schneebeck Concert Hall, University of Puget Sound Campus (see parking information below)

About the Rehearsal:
1) Although our rehearsal runs 10am-12:30pm, you can drop in for any part of this time
2) We’ll have one break at approximately 11:15am. Coffee and pastries provided in the lobby for you and the musicians at that time.
3) This is a working rehearsal. You’ll be in the midst of our artistic process with many starts and stops, trying new things and notes from Mei-Ann. This requires a lot of intense focus and concentration from all of our musicians, so we ask that you please refrain from talking and turn off your mobile devices.
4) We will rehearse all of the pieces on our Sky and Sea program: Viet Cuong’s ‘Re(new)al’ for percussion quartet and sinfonietta, Marjan Mozetich’s ‘Postcards from the Sky, and Debussy/Helder’s ‘La Mer.’
5) We need to check stage spacing, but there MAY be room for a few folks to sit on stage with us. All seats in the house will also be available, but you’ll want to get close enough to hear what Mei-Ann has to say.

Parking:
Because Schneebeck Hall is on the University of Puget Sound campus, it is set back from the road, and has a strange address (1567-1625 N Union Ave, Tacoma, WA 98416, and sometimes 1500 N Warner St.) that some map apps don’t know what to do with. The best plan is to park in or near the large lot located off of N Union Avenue at the cross street of N 14th Street. See map below.
